10 Best Tips to Score More than 95% Marks in Class 10 English CBSE Board

    1. Take an overview of the question paper

First, you have to read and understand your question paper. To write a good answer, you have to understand what is being asked and how many marks it contains. The answer should be accordingly-logical and comprehensively written.

    2. Use your 15 minutes (Question reading time) wisely

CBSE gives you 15 minutes extra time to read the question paper. Use this time to do it and read and understand the question paper. Read all 30 questions in 15 minutes. As you read, choose questions in easy, manageable, and difficult categories. This is done to get a general idea of the question and make a rough plan.

    3. Prioritize the sections and questions

Always attempt the simple questions first, then move on to the manageable ones and make sure you have completed them before facing the difficult questions. This ensures that the questions you know are not left behind.

After successfully attempting all the easy-to-manage and straightforward questions, you will be more confident and ready to worry about more complex questions.

    4. Don’t think too much about a question

Before solving a question, it is necessary to think twice about it. But wasting a lot of time on one question is not enough.

Also, you don’t have to write a very long answer to a question just because the question is simple and familiar. Remember that you only answer the question, and no more is needed. Too much effort is a waste of time.

    5. In optional questions select your option wisely

In CBSE Class 10 Board, you will get some optional questions. Don’t be in a hurry to choose questions. Select them wisely. Read the question carefully: Read the question carefully before writing the answer. Find out what the question asks.

    6. Answer in simple words

When writing your answer, be sure to use words that are easy to understand. The examiner prefers an answer written in simple words rather than an answer which do not have been written in conceptual language but is written in a flowery language.

    7. Keep your answer sheet neat and clean

Write your answers in clear and easy-to-read handwriting. Not everyone has beautiful handwriting, but anyone can write answers with proper spacing, punctuation, and clear handwriting. Remember that if the answer sheet is dirty and the handwriting is not readable, it will not be helpful for you.

    8. Do not use Slangs

We have to understand that written English is different from spoken English. The use of slang or SMS language counts as a misspelling, and your marks will be deducted.

    9. Time is very important, Keep an eye on the watch

Of course, looking at your watch doesn’t add to your stress. This is just to ensure that you make a comprehensive commitment to complete your paper. You should not be worried about time but to answer the question.

    10. After completing the paper, revise your answer

The questionnaire is usually set in a way that even after attempting all the questions, a student can easily have 10 – 15 minutes in the end to revise their answer sheet. Do not waste this time in watching here and there modify your answer sheet. If you find anything wrong, correct it.
