You can exchange points for almost anything. This includes gift cards from your preferred retailer, for cash, or travel rewards.

In general, you can use the points already earned to pay bills through their online bill payment option. However, you cannot use them to make payments to any of your accounts with Citibank or any affiliate. Nor can you use the points to make recurring or express payments.

It is important to note that points generated through the Citi ThankYou Card do not expire. There are also no limits when it comes to the points you can earn.

Other Benefits of being with Citi

In addition to the rewards, which we have talked about in the previous section, Citi credit cards offer you another series of benefits. Some are aimed at saving you money, such as the Citi Private Pass. Others consist of special offers that offer you some comfort, boost savings, etc.

Thus, as a bank cardholder (a benefit that is also extended to debit cardholders), through the so-called Citi Private Pass, you have access to live shows. Includes music and sporting events. You also have access to restaurants, family entertainment, and more.

Offers change regularly. The best way to take advantage of them is to stay tuned.

Security

Citi credit cards have a series of measures and tools aimed at protecting you from identity theft and other security risks.

In the case of identity theft,  the City has a system for this purpose, A team of specialists will guide you step by step throughout the process. You must call 1-800-950-5114.

Fraud detection and early warning, meanwhile, seek to anticipate fraud or unauthorized use of your credit card. This is permanent monitoring of customer accounts, which can detect suspicious activity on your card and notify you.

Another tool that Citi has at your disposal is the so-called Citi Quick Lock. It is a mobile and web application, which you can access through your smartphone or the internet. If you lose your card, you access the Citi Quick Lock and your card will be blocked. From that moment, no new purchases or cash advances can be made. You do not need to change your card number or request a new one. When you find it, if it is the case, you can easily unlock it.

You should know that you have the option to receive your monthly account statement in your email. For this, you must register.

As for payment, let’s start by clarifying two dates: the billing cycle date and the payment due date.

The billing cycle date is the date the statement is generated each month. On the other hand, the expiration date is the one in which the payment must be credited to your card. This is so that your account remains inactive status and you do not receive charges for late payments. In this sense, you can choose, each month, to pay the totality of what you have consumed or only the so-called minimum payment.

For example, if you want one of the Citi business credit cards, you need to be in that field.
