Agriculture Machinery

Agriculture machinery relates to mechanical structures and devices used in different field operations and makes farming easy, saving manpower as well as money.

There are different types of such equipment, from hand tools and power tools to tractors and the countless kinds of farm implements that they tow or operate.

The machinery makes easy arm operations such as primary tillage, secondary tillage of the soil, seedling, and planting, cultivation, fertilizer application and distribution to the crop, pest control, harvesting, irrigation, drainage, transportation, storing, handling the residues of earlier crops, etc.

The agricultural machinery industry produces agricultural machinery for different farming processes.

In previous times, animals were the primary source of energy for performing hard agriculture operations. Later on, steam power replaced the same fieldwork, after that the tractor which worked on gas power. Then the same work was followed by diesel engines.

Farm production is continuously increasing with the use of agriculture machinery. So, farm machinery performs the main role in increasing farm production as well as quality produce.

Modern farm machinery is upgrading the agricultural industry for the best.

Most used machinery in agriculture are as follows: combine/ combine harvester, rotavator/ rotary tiller, Plough or plow, tractor-trailer, power harrow, leceler, water bowser, ripper machine, and disc harrow.

Some of the essential, common, and mostly used machinery are as follows:

Combine/ Combine Harvester: It is used for combine harvesters or simply combine, is a versatile machine designed to efficiently harvest a variety of grain crops. Bigger in size , combines work like a comb cutter for cutting the mature crops with threshing at the same time. A combine is a well-known and the most upgraded machinery that helps farmers by saving long hours of the day by wasting in harvesting activities.

Rotavator/Rotary tiller: Rotavator or rotary tiller is tillage equipment that uses a series of blades or turns up the soil. It is very popular among farmers to make the preparation of seedbeds on the farm. This equipment is mainly used for breaking the large size of soil clods in small lawns, farms, gardens, etc.

Plough/plow: A plow or plow is a farm tool used for loosening means to breaking large clods into small parts or turning the soil before sowing or planting for making it mix or preparing it for sowing. Plows were traditionally drawn by oxen, but now in modern farming, it was drawn by tractors.

Leveler: Leveler is an easy and rough implement that is directly fitted to the tractor. It is used for leveling of land. It is very useful for agriculture purposes.

Reaper: A reaper machine helps to ease your work and save labor costs. It helps to harvest crops when they are ripe, it easily harvests crops with less effort.

Power tiller: It is also called a heavy tiller, it is an innovative machine used for tillage, cultivation, weed removal operation, sowing, etc. It is a small implement but very useful and also user-friendly.Power tillers are available in 8hp,12hp,10hp,6hp. In India, small landholder farmers mostly use power tillers.

Thresher: A thresher machine is one of farm equipment used for threshes grain, that is it removes seeds from the stalk and husks. It helps separate wheat, peas, soybeans, and other small grains and seed crops from their chaff and straw, and also separate the lightweight part during the threshing process.
